Today I spent a day in Cambridge with Joel (and three of his friends) checking out some of the University Colleges in preparation for his application to go there in September ’07. Our tour started at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences and went on to include visits to Clare, St. Catharine’s, Christ’s, Corpus Christi, Pembroke and Emmanuel Colleges. Pembroke is definitely our favourite.
There was also a lunch break, a trip to Heffers (a real bookshop!) and in the afternoon they all went punting while I checked out a few other shops.
Finally, we met Kit, the Pembroke College Cat (who gets her own page on the Pembroke College web site).
