Prayer Spaces in Schools autumn conferences

In one week in July this year more prayer spaces happened in schools than in the whole of 2009. In four years 6 has become 260! From a simple seed of an idea has grown a movement that now embraces every educational sector and for many schools a prayer space is part of their annual cycle of activities. With this astounding growth has come new challenges and new opportunities to be agents of spiritual change in schools and colleges.

That’s why we’d love to see you at our second annual Prayer Spaces in Schools Day Conference which this year happens in three locations, London, Leeds and Edinburgh. There will be inspiring short talks with time to discuss the issues raised plus a whole load of practical workshops and a session in the England venues looking at prayer spaces in multi-faith settings.

  • London – Wednesday 3 October, 10 – 4 at St. James Church, Clerkenwell Close, London EC1R 0EA
  • Leeds – Friday 12 October, 10 – 4 at Mosaic, 10 Sweet Street, Holbeck, Leeds LS11 9DB
  • Edinburgh – Monday 15 October, 10 – 4 at Morningside Baptist Church Central Hall, 2 West Tolcross, Edinburgh EH3 9BP

Whether you’re thinking about your first prayer space or have a whole school chaplaincy and regular prayer space programme running, your voice, your experience and your questions are an essential ingredient in making these gatherings the best way to learn together about how Prayer Spaces in Schools are growing.
